Drop In Blood Sugar

A drop in blood sugar or hypoglycemia is a common medical condition that I am certain that all people and adults have experienced once or more than one time in their lives.

Drop In Blood Sugar

A drop in blood sugar usually occurs when we skip meals or we forget to take in necessary macronutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, or fats.

Drop In Blood Sugar

Is is not a very serious medical condition and is attended and cured with the simplest and most no nonsense way of treatment and management. But it is when left untreated that will it start to cause the problems.

Hypoglycemia is a phenomenon wherein the pancreas  of the body does not produce insulin due to the lack of the presence of food inside the stomach. Now this may sound goo for those who are trying to lose weight but it is actually not.

When there is no food for the insulin to synthesize with it goes and pick up other forms of substances it can synthesize with like muscles and fats. Again, this might sound a good news for those who are shedding off those pounds but again it is not.

When the muscles or body fats are used, there is a harmful by product that arises when insulin synthesized with them - ketone bodies.

Sudden Drop In Blood Pressure

Now these ketone bodies are highly acidic in nature and with prolonged stay inside the bodily systems, it may alter the acid-base balance of the body and ultimately render those organs susceptible not only to infection but also by direct acidic damage or degradation.

That is why it is important to keep your stomach full at all times and to never skip a meal however hectic or busy your schedule and activities for the day are.

And take note that prolonged drop in blood sugar may predispose the individual to a chronic hypoglycemic syndrome or a constant hypoglycemic state which will require the individual to eat a certain amount of food by the hour.

This is not good use if you are dieting because this will actually maintain your plump and nasty figure, so the key here is moderation and do not starve yourself to death.
